one of these days...

this is really, really old news at this point, but i think it more than deserves, nay, demands even this meager mention. in case there is anybody out there who hasn't yet heard, The Pink Floyd (yes, including him) are reuniting. not to be outdone by the likes of Jack Bruce, Eric Clapton, and Ginger "i-puked-on-my-drums" Baker this past May, and in a move that may very well overshadow *that* surprising reunion, it has been confirmed far and wide that The Pink Floyd have agreed to put aside their differences and perform at Hyde Park in London on the 2nd of July. it is for a good cause, too, and that is all well and good. i remember reading some time ago in some guitar magazine interview Nick Mason being quoted as saying it would take such an event to make this happen, so here we are.

this news left me, for a moment, bleary-eyed and speechless at the prospect until i found out how unlikely a time i'd have obtaining tickets, let alone time off. wish i were there. oh well, mayhaps by the 4th, i might enjoy ringing in our independence whilst listening to a bootleg from some generous soul.
